Excursion to Faxe Kalkbrud
GEUS’ communication involves both specialist and popular science information.
GEUS communicates its knowledge through channels aimed at its target groups which include public authorities, research communities, industry and business, the press, schools and individuals.
The geoscience knowledge is published in international scientific journals and in GEUS' own publications and map series, as well as several publications customised to the needs of the business community. Furthermore, information about our activities is also communicated via our newsletters and annual reports.
All of GEUS' publications are available in electronic format, and many of them can be downloaded from our website; our central information source. This is also the access point for the press and the public to our news material, our data and services, as well as our popular science materials for schools and individuals.
Finally, we communicate our geological knowledge through presentations and lectures, and we take part in events such as the Day of Research, the Danish Science Festival, Culture Night Copenhagen and Nuuk in Greenland and Geology Day. We also offer vocational training for school pupils in cooperation with our partners in Geocenter Denmark.
